Training & Certification FAQs

  • Yes. All of our height safety and rescue courses are delivered in partnership with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). This ensures that your certification meets Australian Standards and is industry-recognised across the construction, mining, and emergency service sectors.

  • A SPRAT certification is valid for three years. To maintain your qualification, you must undergo a re-evaluation before your current certificate expires. We recommend booking your re-certification training at our Gosford facility at least 6 months in advance to ensure site compliance.

  • While general vertical rescue covers basic haul and lower systems, Rescue 3 International is a specialized global standard. It focuses on high-level technical competency for complex environments, including swiftwater, confined space, and advanced industrial rope rescue, making it the preferred choice for professional emergency responders.

  • While prior experience in rope access (such as SPRAT or IRATA) is highly beneficial, it is not always a mandatory prerequisite. However, because the SKYLOTEC ActSafe ACX is a high-performance motorized tool, students must demonstrate a fundamental understanding of fall protection and rope mechanics during the induction.

  • Our state-of-the-art training centre is located on the Central Coast in Gosford, NSW. It is purpose-built to simulate real-world high-risk environments, featuring various rigging points, towers, and confined space simulators to provide the most realistic training experience possible.

  • Yes. For corporate clients and large rescue teams, we can facilitate on-site height safety training across Australia. This allows your team to train on the specific structures and equipment they use daily, ensuring maximum operational relevance.
